On October 12 and 13, 2017, the contest to choose the world’s best Hitachi Construction Machinery’s maintenance mechanic was held for the 16 th time at the Hitachi’s head training center in Japan. This year, Russia and the CIS were represented by the regional contest winner – Serik Shotayev, a mechanic for Turkuaz Machinery, which is an official dealer of Hitachi in Kazakhstan. The regional contest to choose the best mechanics among Russia and the CIS dealers was held at
the Hitachi Construction Machinery Eurasia plant in Tver Region in September.
Traditionally, Japan-based global contest involves mechanics from all over the globe. This year, it was eight mechanics from Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya and India.
The contest consists of four stages:
1. Theoretical test
2. Practical test — excavator troubleshooting
3. Practical test — measurement test
4. Work results report
Despite difficult tests and tough competition, the representative from our region – Serik Shotayev – was the third among the participants who tried their competences with 5G series excavators. The representative from New Zealand won the contest, and the Chinese representative came in second.
All participants of the international contest are the winners in their respective regions; these are professional mechanics, who demonstrate their excellence in daily operations, which is highly praised in the Hitachi Construction Machinery group of companies. Winning a top place in such contest is a high honor for us and our official distributor in Kazakhstan – Turkuaz Machinery. Hitachi Construction Machinery Eurasia congratulates Serik Shotayev and wishes him further
victories and noble accomplishments in handling Hitachi equipment.
